GBB FEEDS 4 THOUSAND ANIMALS WITH 1 TON OF FOOD PRODUCED DAILY FROM FOOD WASTE COLLECTED FROM FACILITIES ACROSS THE CITY<\/strong><\/p>

\u00a0 \u00a0Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality turns the food scraps collected throughout the city into food for street animals with the facility it has established.<\/strong><\/p>

In Gaziantep, the city of gastronomy, the teams of the Metropolitan Municipality Department of Wildlife Conservation, which evaluates the food leftovers in places such as hospitals, restaurants, universities and schools, process the collected products in the food production facility located in Bur\u00e7 Yaz\u0131bag.<\/p>

The collected products are shredded in machines and shaped in a special machine. For 1 day, the food is kept in drying areas and then packaged with vacuum devices. Daily, 1 ton of food is left at 200 feeding points established by the Metropolitan Municipality across the city. Approximately 4 thousand street animals benefit from the food, which is rich in minerals and vitamins.<\/p>

\u00d6ZS\u00d6YLER: WE GIVE THE FOOD WE PRODUCE TO THE ANIMALS LIVING ON THE STREETS AND DISTRIBUTE IT FREE OF CHARGE TO ANIMAL LOVERS<\/strong><\/p>

Celal \u00d6zs\u00f6yler, Head of the Department of Wildlife Protection, made a statement about food production and emphasized that they protect all stray animals in the city.<\/p>

\u00d6zs\u00f6yler stated that teams routinely leave food and water at 200 separate feeding points across the city every day and noted the following:<\/p>

\"We collect food waste from universities, hospitals and schools and bring them to our center. Here we have established a food production facility for our canine friends. In this production facility, we first compost about 1 ton of food per day, pass it through mixing machines, shape it and take it to drying areas. We keep it in these areas for 1 day and pack it with a vacuumizing machine. We give the food we produce to the animals living on the streets and distribute it free of charge to animal lovers.\"<\/p>

Explaining that they pay great attention to all street animals in the city, \u00d6zs\u00f6yler emphasized that they pay attention to the feeding of animals and concluded his words as follows:<\/p>

\"Since it has a very high protein content, animals love to eat it. It contains all kinds of minerals and vitamins. This work both prevents waste and as Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality, we support all living things. As Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality, we serve in all 9 districts with 780 neighborhoods. We feed 4 thousand animals daily throughout Gaziantep. We check them daily.\"<\/p><\/div><\/div>
