Elazığ Municipality, which garners the appreciation of citizens with its work for stray animals, produces food for the stray animals staying in the Temporary Animal Care and Rehabilitation Center by using the leftover food and stale bread it collects. Thus, both waste is prevented and food production is provided for our dear friends living in the center. The work carried out by Elazığ Municipality sets an example for different municipalities.

In this context, Malatya Metropolitan Municipality Veterinary Branch Manager Sami Altaş and the accompanying delegation visited Elazığ Municipality Temporary Animal Care and Rehabilitation Center and received information about the ongoing food production works and made on-site inspections.

Sami Altaş, Veterinary Branch Manager of Malatya Metropolitan Municipality, thanked Mayor Şahin Şerifoğulları and said, "As Malatya Metropolitan Municipality, we started a project. This project is the project of making food from food waste. Elazığ Municipality has also created and implemented this project before. We came to this center and examined the facility here and obtained the necessary information from our authorized friends. All municipalities need to implement this project. We would like to thank the Mayor of Elazığ for pioneering this project."
